If you’re not sure what engagement ring style she wants, I always suggest you focus all your time and effort on finding the perfect diamond and set it in a simple solitaire engagement ring setting. I recommend getting a bezel set lab-grown diamond, like the Lilac Stackable Engagement Ring. Bezels have metal completely around the center stone, to give it maximum protection. Stay away from accented diamonds on the band or a halo, where the smaller stones are more susceptible to getting damaged.

Bring in your ring every 6-12 months to have your prongs checked and to make sure your center stone isn’t loose. We’ll also check to make sure your side stones are secure and we’ll give the ring a deep cleaning free of charge. But if you suspect something is loose, bring it in right away.

Fine jewelry requires some love to keep it looking its best. To protect the setting, make sure you don’t wear the ring to bed, in the shower, when you exercise, or when working around the house. To keep it bright and shiny, once a week soak your jewelry in the provided cleaner overnight then rinse it in hot water. I personally take off my rings when I get home so I can make sure I don’t accidentally scratch the band or wear down the prongs.

It’s so easy today to change up the look of a ring with different bands. Many bands are designed to be worn stacked or interchangeably. I would get a traditional solitaire setting with a stunning diamond, then add bands to mix it up. But it’s also normal for your personal style to change over the years.
