Local Portland-area residents Karen and Josh recently started their lifelong journey together with a beautiful, ethically-sourced engagement ring from MiaDonna. We’re so happy to share with you their beautiful story.
A Pacific Coast Proposal
After spending a lot of time renovating their newly acquired house together, Josh announced to Karen that he had planned a beach getaway for the two of them for some fun and relaxation. It was their first time exploring the idyllic Oregon Coast together, and some time away was needed.
While Josh filled their day with seemingly spontaneous adventures, Karen had no clue where they were going next. Toward the end of the day they stopped at Hug Point, where the tide was low, and walked to a secluded cove. They felt like they were in their own little world on a stretch of untouched sand below, endless blue sky above, and the sound of waves crashing everywhere. Karen was strolling toward the waves when she heard Josh call her name. Turning around she saw that he had dropped to his knees to ask her the question of all questions: “Will you marry me?”
Karen describes that moment in her own words. “It was a very touching and special moment. We both were emotional. Then… I was floored when I saw the ring. It was exquisite! We both knew we wanted a sustainable and ethical pink sapphire and diamond ring. Till now, I can’t stop looking at my engagement ring and thinking back to our very special moment.
